Feminism A transformational politic (Suzanne Pharr) –Change –Personal and societal –Oppositional –Political work that changes the hearts and minds of people –Supports personal and group growth –Is based on a vision of a society where people are supported by institutions and communities to live their best lives

Social Change- Two Models Liberal- a piece of the pie –Add women and stir –Change from within- education, law, politics –Inequality is located in barriers to inclusion and advancement Radical- a new pie –A new foundation, change from without –Transform the system –Different value, organizational, ethical structures –Women’s studies, lesbian separatists
