Advantages Less toxic emissions. Hybrids can run on electricity or gas. The battery pack of a hybrid vehicle never needs to be charged from an external source. Hybrids have smaller engines, therefore they tend to weight less than non-hybrids. Hybrids reduce fuel costs. Tax deduction.

Disadvantages Hybrids are more expensive than non-hybrids. It require more maintenance. It has low towing capacity. The parts that make up the hybrid car are more expensive and are more difficult to acquire for one’s car. Since a hybrid is electrical, Water cannot be used to put out a fire that starts in the hybrid. Hybrids(in regards to a car accident)have a much higher risk of exploding.
