Urothelial Cell Carcinoma of the Bladder The autopsy specimen consists of the urinary bladder and attached prostate. The bladder is open in the midline through the prostatic urethra and the anterior wall of the bladder. Note the papillary urothelial cell carcinoma grew from the bladder wall into the lumen.
