Stratified squamous epithelium-In the esophagus, the cells near the basement membrane almost appear cuboidal, but as they approach the lumen they begin to flatten out to a squamousal shape. Lumen

Transitional Epithelium Can be found in the urinary bladder and is marked for its circular oblong shape. lumen Basement membrane

Dense Connective Tissue Notice the wavy pink collagen fibers and the darker stained fibroblast cells in rows.

Loose Connective Tissue (Areolar) Elastic Fiber FibroblastsThe pink background comes from many wider collagen fibers.
