Chapter 4 Ordinary Concrete
2
The quality of concrete is measured by Strength Durability Dimensional Stability §4.4.1 QUALITY OF CONCRETE
3
Hardened concrete must have sufficient strength to resist stresses from loads on a structure. The strength must also be high enough for variations in concrete mixtures. Strength QUALITY OF CONCRETE
4
Concrete must be able to withstand forces of deterioration such as : Freezing and Thawing Wetting and Drying Erosion and Chemical attack Durability QUALITY OF CONCRETE
5
Qualified concrete should have a minimum of shrinkage or expansion because of outside forces and chemical reactions within the concrete itself. Dimensional stability QUALITY OF CONCRETE
