2. Did You Know???  750,000 teenagers a year get pregnant in their teen years.  1/3 teens get pregnant.

3. Pregnancy Effect: Teen  Dropout  No college degree  Poverty  Life Changing Baby  Low birth weights  Abuse  Neglect  Perform poorly in school  Boys-13% go to prison  Girls- 22% get pregnant

4. What to Do??  Organize a preparation class to prepare young teens for parenting.  Require attendance and provide useful tips on raising children.

6. Preparation Class  Who: 12-21 years old parents  Where: high school, extra curricular activity programs, clinics, and other organizations  When: weekly for about 2 hours (includes breaks and snacks). Goes on throughout pregnancy and a couple weeks after  Cost: $0 (all volunteer)

7. Alternative  Teens have a busy schedule, no time to attend.  Teens aren't interested and will skip.  Young teens don’t have transportation

8. Look at The Bright Side  Online courses will be available to those who can not attend.  Class is required by state, must receive certificate or charged a fee. (teachers, parents, doctors, and other peers should encourage this class)  Free transportation is included. Pick up & drop off at any location.

10. What Difference Would It Make  Lower pregnancy, prison, violence, and crime in the future generations  Prepare teens for the biggest change of their lives  Provide new parents with parenting information  Guideline to a better generation
