Estimated Range of ACT Composite Scores Your estimated ACT Composite Score range 18-22 Use this score range to help plan for college. College Admissions policies may be characterized as follows: Typical ACT Composite Scores Open – All high school graduates accepted to limit of capacity Traditional – Some accepted freshmen from lower half of high school graduating class. Traditional – Some accepted freshmen from lower half of high school graduating class. Selective – Majority of accepted freshmen in top 25 percent of high school graduating class. Selective – Majority of accepted freshmen in top 25 percent of high school graduating class. Highly Selective – Majority of accepted freshmen in top 10 percent of high school graduating class.
