2 The aim of my project is to answer the questions: What vegetables and fruits are typical for our people? What are the national dishes of our countries? How are they cooked? What can national cuisine tell us?

3 GUESS WHAT IT IS It’s a vegetable It’s orange It’s sweet It grows in soul It has a lot of vitamin A People eat it fresh or cooked

4 Carrot is a very useful vegetable for the body. Carrots contain vitamin B, PP, C, E, K, and it has a carotene - a substance that the human body turns into vitamin A. Carrots contain 1.3% protein, 7% carbohydrate. A lot of carrots minerals necessary for human body potassium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, cobalt, copper, iodine, zinc, chromium, nickel, fluoride, etc. carrots contain essential oils that make it unique smell. Useful properties of carrots are used in human nutrition. It is useful to chew raw carrots, as it strengthens the gums. Since vitamin A promotes the growth, the carrot is especially useful for children. This vitamin is essential for normal vision, it maintains in good condition the skin. Carrots, carrot dishes and especially carrot juice is used in clinical nutrition at hypo-and avitaminosis A, liver, cardiovascular system, kidneys, stomach, anemia, arthritis, disorders of mineral metabolism.

5 Carrots in Korean Ingredients: 500 g of carrots 500 g of onions 100 ml of vegetable oil 1 tsp of 70% vinegar 1 tablespoon sugar 3-4 cloves of garlic red pepper Salt

6 Recipe Grate the carrots in a special grater or cut into long thin strips. Add salt, stir and let stand for 20-30 minutes. Add sugar, red pepper (0.5 tsp.). Mix everything. Chop onion. Roast in vegetable oil until dark golden colour. Oil removed from heat, cool, add the oil to vinigar. Add garlic and mix well. Before eating let it stand in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
