Kumquats Kumquats grow on a 8 to 15 foot slow-growing evergreen shrub. The leaves are dark glossy green. The fruit resembles a very small oval shaped orange.

Kumquats Kumquats are often eaten raw. They are consumed whole as the skin is sweet and the juicy center tart and salty. They are best if gently rolled between the fingers before eating as this releases the essential oils in the rind. They are also candied or preserved in marmalade and jelly.
