2 Overview The CARS Collision Repair Project Phase II is well advanced in its goal of developing and delivering an innovative new training curricula for the industry: our approach has been amalgamate the best of existing training assets with new training delivery technologies; and, to create strategic, collaborative partnerships with training providers and key industry suppliers to provide industry with a range of technical and non- technical training that is: convenient; cost-effective; and, of high quality.

3 Background The CARS Collision Repair Project Phase II project is based on years of solid research: CARS Collision Repair Project - Design Phase

4 Our game plan The objective of the CARS Collision Repair Project – Phase II is to create a delivery infrastructure that will ensure access to high quality training for all industry participants when and where it’s needed. We are working in partnership with suppliers and training organizations to identify and acquire the best of existing training materials for adaptation to IDL. We are building a repertoire of some 120 technical and non-technical IDL courses in both French and English. Our goal is to establish a minimum of 200 new receive sites.

9 Current status Our industry training partners are providing us with the best elements of existing curriculum. We have conducted three meetings of working groups to review content from 55 courses selected for migration to IDL. We have now established 57 IDL sites within the collision sector. We began broadcasting the first migrated I- CAR course on May 3, 2005.
