2. How to begin
You are going to create an A, B, C book on the Reconstruction period after the Civil War. You must use chapter 18 in the textbook. Can also use outside sources like the Internet or library. There are 26 letters in the alphabet for the purposes of your assignment you are required to use at least 23 letters. You must consider people, places, plans, events, and concepts.

Obviously Start with the text book Ch. 18. But what else?

Each letter/entry must include a 1 paragraph (5-8 sentence) write up.
At least 12 letter/entries need pictures.

13. Timeframe and Expectations
You will have atleast 5 full periods of class time and the rest of today to work on this assignment in class. You will also have 2 weekends to work because the book will not be due until June 1st. This does not mean however that there will be no other homework during the 2 weeks. Understand that this is a lot of work so you will need to take advantage of class time. Anyone off task will have points deducted.

14. Grading
The assignment needs to be in final draft form: typed or in blue or black ink. If you hand
written, please choose one color and stick with it.
You will be graded on neatness, completeness, and creativity for a total of 35 points.
23 points for the entries
12 points pictures

15. Above and beyond
Note you are more than welcome to go above and beyond the 23 entries or 12 pictures for extra credit.
