Learning to look carefully
3
One of the most important things… About photography, is learning to notice small details around you. You can take a good photograph of any subject. In this activity you will be looking at the environment you use every day…but in a completely new way!
5
Working in pairs… You must take photographs of each letter in the alphabet. You must NOT change things in the environment to help you – ie. leaning something against a wall, or rearranging some materials. You cannot take photographs of other letters.
8
Extra marks for: Using your camera to ‘crop’ an image. Using shadows or reflections. Making all your pictures have a theme or style. Making your letters hard to guess!
10
Time frame We will have until 9 am to take pictures. Then we will meet and return to the Maclab. You will need a way to upload your pictures to your Mac. If you can, emailing them to yourself will be the fastest way. If not, find a Mac with a memory card slot or ask me for assistance.
