2 Golden Toad The golden toad was a small, shiny, bright true toad that was once abundant in a small region of high-altitude cloud-covered tropical forests, about 30 square kilometers in area, above the city of Monteverde, Costa Rica.

4 Golden toad Habitat: The Golden Toad once lived in an abundant quantity, in high tropical forests. Aproximate population: None  zaa

5 Golden Toad Threats: The Golden Toad got extinct due to the rising of the temperatures, it dried the breeding pools so now the specie couldn’t reproduce any more.

6 Capuccin Monkey The capuchins are New World monkeys of the genus Cebus. The range of capuchin monkeys includes Central America and South America as far as Souther Argentina.

7 Why Endangered? They are endangered in part, due to heavy hunting, habitat loss, and degradation, and capture for the black market pet trade.

8 Capuccin Monkey Scientific name: Cebus capucinus Habitat: The exact range of the capuchin monkey is not known, although it is assumed that they inhabit a large range in Brazil and other parts of Latin America.

9 Dhole The dhole or Indian Wild Dog is a species of canid native to South and Southeast Asia. It is the only extant member of the genus Cuon, which differs from Canis by the reduced number of molars and greater number of teats

10 Dhole Common name: Dhole Scientific name: Cuon alpinus

11 Habitat The dhole is a highly social animal, living in large clans which occasionally split up into small packs to hunt

12 Population Approx 2500 dholes

13 Threats The dholes are classed as endangered by the IUCN, due to ongoing habitat loss, depletion of its prey base, competition from other predators, persecution and possibly diseases from domestic and feral dogs.
