2. Ethnography Writing:  Is a method of inquiry into a particular culture/group that exposes how things function within that society  Requires that you expand your understanding of people, certain cultures/group environment, within a certain social context

3. Features of the Ethnographic Essay  Focus on people/groups of people  Conduct close observations/interviews  Most of the research will take place in natural settings  Examine small components of research to formulate a bigger picture  View the world based on the study subject

4. Selecting a topic:  The people/culture is accessible to you.  The people/culture interest you in some way.  The people/culture lend itself to research utilizing library /on-line.  Important: You can not be a member of this group/culture!
