7. Sample College Essay THINK– silent 1) SKIM the essay. 2) CIRCLE any words that are unfamiliar or if you don’t know the meaning. 3) Read the questions at the end- the “prompts”. Circle key verbs– what are you asked to DO? Underline key information you need to find.
