Information needs vary Stakeholder needs vary & will prompt different response by company –State & Federal regulatory agencies –Local officials with emergency or planning responsibilities –Affected public / ROW landowners –General public, such as wider community or NGOs

Communication requirements Significant outreach & information available when new pipelines or facilities proposed –Guided by stakeholder outreach requirements of regulatory body Federal and state – sometimes one is ‘lead’ agency –Primary stakeholders affected public, landowners / residents and agencies –Multiple forums & means of getting information –Consultation influences final project
