Perkins Funding Congress passed a final FY 2015 omnibus appropriations bill in December It will be in effect until Sept. 30 2015 Level funds the Perkins Basic State Grant at $1.118 billion

Administration’s Budget Budget priorities for FY 2016 Includes $70.7 billion in discretionary spending for the Education Department an increase of $3.6 billion, or 5.4 percent Proposed $1.36 billion in mandatory funding for 2016 for America’s College Promise $60.3 billion investment over 10 years, which would provide free tuition and fees for the first two years of college

Administration’s Budget Proposed an additional $200 for CTE, but allocated funds to a “CTE Innovation Fund” to launch the “American Technical Training Fund competitive grants to “support the development and operation of innovative, evidence-based job training programs in high-demand fields that provide a path to the middle class for low-income individuals.” replaces expiring Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) would be jointly administered by Dept. of ED and DOL
