C 1. Michael sees no difference. In both cases, the doctor is being paternalistic by deciding what information the patient needs to know. 2. Miriam thinks a doctor has to limit the amount of information in order not to overburden the patient. Michael disagrees with her. 3. Placebos are mostly used in research, where people know there ’ s the possibility of being given a placebo.
