Major Fields in Psychology Clinical Psychologist – evaluate and treat people with psychological problems and disorders  Psychiatrists are part of clinical psychology  Depression, schizophrenia, anxiety  Child & adult mental health, learning disabilities, general health etc.  Work in hospitals, prisons and private clinics Counseling Psychology – typically treat people with adjustment issues, not disorders  Marriage counseling, grief counseling etc.  Like clinical psychologists, they use interviews & tests to determine the issue  Help patients adjust and meet their challenges  Work in businesses & colleges
