TIBB HEALTH PROMOTION Recognition of uniqueness/temperament of an individual – “special identity” Temperament contributors – physical, mental, emotional, spiritual attributes Choosing a lifestyle in harmony with temperament

LIFESTYLE FACTORS Six lifestyle factors: Environmental air & breathing Food & Drink Movement and rest Sleep and wakefulness Emotions and feelings Elimination or detoxification

THE TIBB SCHOOL PROGRAMME Grade 9 and 10 students Identify unique temp - appropriate lifestyle Runs over 10 lessons (5 hours) – incorporated into schools lifestyle orientation subject Course material booklet – “Learning with Tibb – Your Body, Your Personality, Your Responsibility” Educators Guide – defined outcomes

CONCEPT OF PHYSIS Physis - inherent wisdom, a mechanism (force) that enables the body to heal itself - ‘Vis medicatrix natura’ Hippocrates Exists in all living organisms – including human beings Awareness of Physis – an element of spirituality - respect for the body - responsibility
