"Equipping the Church for the Work of the Ministry"

Central Jamaica Conference, in the Year of the Laity, seeks to equip its members for the work of the Ministry where each congregation will become centers of empowerment for individual members.

Revival and Reformation Council Meetings – Commencement - 4:00 p.m. ◦ June 1, 2013 - Willowdene Group of Schools, Spanish Town, Saint Catherine ◦ June 8, 2013 - Victor Dixon High School, Mandeville, Manchester ◦ June 22, 2013 - May Pen High School, May Pen, Clarendon Growing Leadership - From June to December – Selected members of the Laity will be invited to the monthly Conference Executive Committee Meetings.

Sabbath July 6 – Day of Prayer and Fasting – Conference-wide (All Pastors will be in home churches and joined by Directors and Federation Officers to set stage for this series). Youth Camp - Youth and Children to be honored at Camp Verley as an expression of appreciation for work done. (Group 1) REACH Linstead REACH Christiana

1 - 4 weeks duration 15 Pastors from the United Kingdom 12 Ministerial Graduates 25 Lay Preachers/Speakers Conference - wide

50 locations will be identified across the Conference. (All members of the Conference will be invited to participate in these 50 Evangelistic Programmes) Churches will identify the Lay Workers who meet the qualifications (over 7 years of committed service)

Continue activities re Field Preparation, Lay Workers Appreciation, and Mentorship Programme. REACH Mandeville

Evangelistic Meetings - For the entire month of September, revivals or crusades will be held in all Pastoral Districts of the Conference. These meetings will include Administrators, Directors, Pastors, Lay Preachers, Small Group Leaders, and Bible Instructors.

The Evangelistic Meetings will end with a big baptism at Camp Verley. Church Elders will prepare at least two souls, and they themselves will baptize them on September 28.

Friday, September 20 Pastors from the United Kingdom will arrive in Jamaica. They will start their meeting Sabbath, September 21, 2013.

Friday, September 27 Laity Empowerment Service (Discussions re Pastors and Laity united in the Finishing of the Work or Lay Leadership and the Growth of the Church). Venue: May Pen or Old Harbour or Spanish Town or Sydenham.

Sabbath, September 28 Baptismal Service: Sabbath Morning – Elders, Pastors to work out logistics. Appreciation Service: Sabbath Afternoon - Honouring the Heroes and Heroines of our Conference (Lay Workers for dedicated and faithful service - Group 2) - Service to begin 3:00 p.m. - ending 5:00 p.m.
