2 2 Geothermal Regulatory Roadmap Overview http://en.openei.org/wiki/GRR OVERVIEW The Geothermal Regulatory Roadmap (GRR) consists of: 1. Flowcharts Divided into sections based on project development subjects (e.g. exploration, drilling, construction) Developed at 4 levels – general, Federal, state and local levels Designed in a linear manner to walk user through all portions of project permitting via questions asked available on OpenEI; contact GRR team for updates 2. Narratives Describe and provide more detailed information and links for each of the flowcharts Provide a general overview of each flowchart, as well as detailed descriptions of each step in the process Provide information on timing, best practices and potential pitfalls available on OpenEI; updateable 3. Reference Materials Links to the following information are being collected and made available: Regulations, laws, policies, etc. Agency websites and contact information Permitting forms Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) Agency Instruction Memorandums (IMs) Permitting guides Additional references available on OpenEI; updateable
