TISSUESTISSUES These are group of cells that are structurally similar and perform function. These are of two types- 1.Plant tissues. 2.Animal tissues.

MERITEMATIC TISSUE The tissues having dividing cells that help in growth. These are of three types- 1.Apical tissue 2.Intercalary tissue 3.Lateral tissue

PLANT TISSUES The tissues which are present in plants are called PLANT TISSUES. These are of two types- 1.Merismetic tissues. 2.Permanent tissues.

APICAL TISSUES-These tissues are at shoot or root tip. It increases the length of the stem and the root. INTERCALARY TISSUES-These tissues are at the base of leaves or enter nodes. LATERAL TISSUES-These tissues are at the sides of the stem.

PERMANENT TISSUES The tissues having cells that have lost their ability to divide and have differentiated. It is of three types- 1. Parenchyma tissues 2. Collenchyma tissues 3.Sclerenchyma tissues
