Every time you have a thought your brain releases chemicals that change your brain and body Thoughts have power to immediately change how we feel

What happens when we are scared? hand temperature gets cold sweat gland activity increases heart rate speeds up and flattens breathing rate faster but shallower muscle tension increases

Every bad, mad, sad, angry, hopeless or helpless thought releases chemicals that make us feel bad: brain wave patterns speed up hand temperature gets cold sweat gland activity increases heart rate speeds up and flattens breathing rate faster but shallower muscle tension increases

As a species, humans developed having to face famines, disease, natural disasters, and big predators Negative thoughts used to be an advantage

If you never challenge a thought you believe it 100%, even if it is a lie If you can think about your own thoughts and correct the lying ones you take away their power to hurt or control you

Challenge negative thoughts Correct them when they are not helping you You can learn to take control
