Communications Objectives To promote and communicate the system vision of being, “Student Focused … World Class” To promote family engagement in schools and open communication with all KCS stakeholders To inform all stakeholders regarding KCS information in a timely and accurate fashion To assure the public that we are using public funds wisely, investing in proven educational methods and best practices To build community support by accurately communicating the stories of KCS To accept and encourage feedback and suggestions for our school system 02

Kingsport City Schools recommends you maintain a professional relationship with students and not accept friend requests. General rule of thumb, if your Grandmother would disapprove, you probably should rethink before you post or tweet it. Here are some examples of general “No-Nos”: Lashing out, venting or using profanity Posting inappropriate photos/graphics Poor grammar Complaining about students, parents and/or Kingsport City Schools 12
