We are learning to spell new words and write sentences. How did we do? I can write 6 sentences with a capital letter and end punctuation.

Write a Sentence Say the the sentence out loud. “The giant jumped over the hedge.” Count the words with your fingers and draw a line under each word. ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ The first word is the. Let’s write it with a capital letter. The second word is giant so I will use g to represent the /dge/ sound. For jump I will use j to represent the /dge/ sound. The next two words, over and the, are both easy camera words. The last word is hedge. I can sound out /h/ and /e/ and I will use the dge representation for the /dge/ sound.Let’s check our sentence. Have we got a capital letter and a full stop? I think we should read it together.
