9. Proposed CPA Certification Requirements 120 Hour Option Bachelors degree with 36 qtr hours of accounting 2 years of general experience (plus a 500 hr attest option) Pass any 2 exam parts to get conditional credit 150 hour Option 150 (225 qtr) units with 36 qtr hours of accounting 1 year of general experience (plus a 500 hr attest option) Take all 4 parts of exam within 30 days, get at least 50% on all 4 parts and pass 2 parts to get conditional credit

10. Why might I want to meet the 150 hr. requirement? You would have substantial equivalency and therefore be licensed to practice across state lines If you moved out of Calif. you would meet the requirements of the 47 jurisdictions that require 150 hours for certification

11. How can I meet the 150 hour requirement if I choose to do so? No masters degree is required so you can meet the 150 (225 qtr units) with a dual concentration, extra units from a Community College, or in any other manner you desire Alternatively you could choose to pursue a masters degree at another university after you graduate from Cal Poly.
