On December 7, 1941, without warning, Japan launched an air attack on the American naval base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii Battle lasted 110 minutes; from 7:55am to 9:45am This caused the USA to declare war on Japan and Germany They formed an alliance with the Soviet Union (Russia) and Great Britain Attack killed 2,403 Americans and sank or severely damaged 14 warships and 347 aircraft (Coyler et Al) Japanese lost 65 men Facts Continued…
