Inside of the chloroplast Thylakoids = light dependent reaction, which uses sunlight to break O2 Stroma – dark reaction (Calvin cycle), which makes glucose

Water = needed to start the light- dependent reaction Temperature – proteins work best at certain temperature; too hot or cold affects the enzyme Light Intensity = need solar energy to fuel the process
