Set-up And Method
Method
Measure 50 ml of HCl and transfer them into a beaker.
Carefully add one spatula of CaCO3 and stir using a glass rod.
Keep on adding CaCO3 until no more fizzing.
Filter the content of the beaker and wash the filtrate with some distilled water.
Transfer the filtrate into an evaporating dish then evaporate 2/3 of the solution.
Leave the evaporating dish to cool overnight.
