2. Accreditation in the U.S.A. As with most things in the U.S., procedures and regulations for professional licensure and university program regulation vary from state to state. Program accreditation procedures also vary somewhat, although these are generally more consistent, handled by national professional organizations (i.e. APA, NASP and CACREP).
