CLAIM SUBMISSION TIMELINES Original or upward revised reimbursement claims will not be paid if submitted 60 days after the last day of the month in which you are claiming* (60 Day Rule) *Title 7 Code of Federal Regulations, Section 210.8(1) In California, claims are due 30 days after the end of the month being claimed. This allows for additional time if needed

CLAIM SUBMISSION TIMELINES If an agency misses the 60 day deadline for submitting a claim, the agency can use the one- time exception to submit a late claim once every 36 months The one-time exception applies to each program type Per Management Bulletin NSD-CNP-08-2014, Reimbursement Claim One-Time Exception Submission Deadline Policy

REIMBURSEMENT PROCESS The CDE and the SCO will process a claim within 45 calendar days

DENIED CLAIMS A claim or claim item may be denied for reimbursement for reasons including, but not limited to: Unallowable items included in the claim Significant concerns about expenses Equipment purchases without prior approval and/or Equipment Justification Form Claim form errors Claim exceeds total allocation amount Claim exceeds 10 percent administrative cost limit
