Different levels of difference concerning health – Sex = biological: chromosomes, hormonal profiles, internal and external sex organs – Gender = sociocultural process: behaviour, lifestyle, life experience Effect – Manifestation in Epidemiology and Pathophysiology of diseases – Approach to Health Care Systems Target – More efficient Health Care – Gender-based prevention measures
