What are Zones? A Zone is a channel of the body that runs from the top of the head down through the arms and hands, legs and feet. There are 10 longitudinal zones, 5 on each side of the body. Each zone corresponds to fingers and toes which provides a simple numbering system. The most central zone is number 1 and then it works out to 5 as you go outwards. There are also horizontal lines, known as the transverse zones. These three zones are; shoulder, waist and pelvic.

Continued.. Organs, tissues and muscles in a particular zone are all connected. Hence, if there is an imbalance in the zone, it could have a knock on effect. It is believed that all parts within the same zone have a effect on each other and that energy should flow freely through that zone.
