3 Threadless Threadless is an eBusiness that sells t-shirts and other clothing Each week contests are run to design a t-shirt (these attract 1000s of entries) The public vote on their favourite designs and around 10 designs per week are taken forward for printing, for which the winning designers receive about $2500 in prizes Threadless print these designs on a limited number of clothing items are sell them online

4 The Threadless Model What’s so clever about this model? Can you think of anywhere else it’s being applied? What’s different/similar about those situations?

5 Exercise Imagine the Crawford Art Gallery has decided it wants to host 3 annual exhibits for 3 individual up-and-coming student artists in UCC… but doesn’t want to take a financial gamble in doing so You are charged with designing a system that will use the Threadless model to make this happen

6 Exercise In groups of 3…  Create a use case diagram for a system that can host these exhibition crowdsourcing contests for the Crawford  Create a textual use case specification for the two most important use cases you identify
