2. Guillaume Canet was born on 1973 in Saint Denis to a family of horse breeders. He is a French actor and film director. He was fond of horseriding, but his career was interrupted by a fall from a horse. Later, he began his career in theatre and television before moving to film. He started his career sucessfully often playing the roles of naive men. He won a best actor award at the Festival St Jean-de- Luz because he appeared in the thriller film Barracula. Canet is a star in France and being well-known in continental Europe, he could become easily one of the greatest actors of the next decade

3. Personal life He married Diane Kruger on 1 September 2001. However, they filed for divorce in January 2006. The marriage was not sucessful because their careers had kept them occupied in different parts of the world.

4. After the divorce, Guillaume Canet began a relationship with Marion Cotillard. They met during the shooting of '' Child's Play'' The couple prefer to live a simple lifestyle. Together, they have a child whose name is Marcel. He was born on 20 May 2011.
