Some people like to say it is a mustelid.

4 Where do River Otters live?
River Otters live in rivers. They live in mushy gushy marshes. They even live in ponds!

River Otters have small flat heads. They have long thick necks. They even have thick tails.

6 What are behaviors of a River Otter?
They can spend 3-4 minutes underwater! River Otters are nocturnal. The female River Otter can have 2-3 baby cub pups at a time.

7 What do River Otters eat and how do they hunt?
River Otters eat crustaceans. River Otters eat mammals. They even eat snakes!

8 What predators do River Otters have and how do they protect themselves?
River Otters protect themselves by having webbed feet. They have a bald eagle as a predator. They also have a coyote as a predator!

The are endangered because of over hunting. They can way lbs! River Otters can be 3-4 inches long.
