6. Feathering is found on most long-haired breeds. Keeping these areas trimmed is important because it becomes matted very easily.

7. Keeping nails at the proper length helps maintain healthy pads and feet. Nail trimming should occur about once a month.

8. Your dogs ears are a very sensitive part of their body and it is important to keep them clean. You can do this by applying rubbing alcohol to a cotton ball and lightly rubbing it inside their ear.

9. By following these simple steps you should be able to maintain a proper grooming routine for your dog. Regular grooming is important for your dog to make sure their hair does not mat and cause infection and difficulty in cooling.
