2 Men’s Clothing

3  Made of skin or fur  Fastened at the neck or over shoulder  Serves as an overcoat

4  Ankle length  Fastened around waist with a belt  Worn for warmth and protection

5  Soft cloth and laced on the back of the hand  Made by naalbinding or by sewing.  Worn for warmth

6  Worn usually from the shoulders to somewhere between hips and ankle.  With or without sleeves  Worn by both men and women

7 Anglo Saxon Women

8 Anglo-Saxon women's clothing Fifth to Sixth centuries Shifts and gowns. Fastenings at shoulders. Sashes. Wealthier women had color and jewelry.
