3. Night Aviation Regiment consisted entirely of women, even the hardest work was performed by females.

Night witches took part in many battles such as: 1942 - defense Vladikavkaz. 1943 - Battle of the Terek, Kuban and Sevastopol 1944 - Fight on the River Pronya, flights to Poland. 1945 - Fighting in East Prussia. According to incomplete statistics, the regiment destroyed or damaged: 17 crossings. 9 trains. 2 railway stations. 46 warehouses. 12 tanks with fuel. 1 the aircraft. 2 barges. 76 cars. 86 firing points. 11 spotlights.
