2 Where is Hanukkah celebrated? Hanukkah is celebrated in the countries where Jewish people live.

3 What food is eaten at Hanukkah? At Hanukkah they eat potato pancakes, latkes and sufgamyot, which are deep fried doughnuts.

4 Why is this festival celebrated? 2000 years ago the Jews defeated an army. They cleaned the temple in Jerusalem and lit the menorah to celebrate. They only had oil for 1 day but it lasted for 8 days. Hanukkah remembers this miracle.

5 How is Hanukkah celebrated? Hanukkah is celebrated by lighting a menorah, singing songs, praying and exchanging cards and gifts.

6 When is Hanukkah celebrated? Hanukkah is celebrated in the Jewish month of Kislev which falls in November or December depending on the sun.
