2 Legislative Overview The Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) of 2006 calls for a single searchable website including for each Federal award: the name of the entity receiving the award; the amount of the award; information on the award including transaction type, funding agency, etc; the location of the entity receiving the award; a unique identifier of the entity receiving the award.

3 High-Level Timeline March 2007 – Inform agencies of new information collection and reporting requirements July 1, 2007 – Commence a pilot program for enabling searches for subgrants and subcontracts across the federal government January 1, 2008 – Launch a website to the public, free of charge, that provides federal award information January 1, 2009 – Include subaward data in the website search January 2010 – GAO report on Act implementation
