The Rock Cycle All rocks can change from one form to another!

Igneous rocks (form from lava from volcanoes)

Weathering the Igneous rocks! Weathering happens in nature by rain, snow, ice, and wind. Weathering breaks the rocks into smaller pieces.

Erosion (we moved them to another place). Erosion happens in nature as rocks are moved by wind, rivers/streams, and even people!

After some pressure, we made sedimentary rocks. Sedimentary rocks have lots of layers. Sometimes the pieces can fall off easily.

After a lot of pressure (and heat) we made metamorphic rock. These kinds of rocks are completely new types of rocks.

If we wanted to change metamorphic rock back to igneous rock, what would we need to do? Remember, igneous rocks form from volcanoes that are very hot!
