To know that condensation is the process of gas cooling to form a liquid. Mª Teresa Villarroya I Font CONDENSATION
2
WHAT IS CONDENSATION? It’s the cooling process that changes gas into liquid. It’s the opposite of evaporation.
3
NAME THE CHANGE GASLIQUID GAS EVAPORATION CONDENSATION

LOOKING AT THE OUTSIDE OF A GLASS OF ICED WATER… What has happened ? Why has it happened ? What is it called ?
5
Iced water in a glass: Droplets of w―――― form on the outside of the glass. When water v――――― in the air hits the c――― surface of the glass it condenses into l――――― water droplets. ( liquid, water, cold, vapour )
6
LOOKING AT THE BREATHING ON A MIRROR… What has happened? Why has it happened? What is it called?
7
Breathing on a mirror Water v――――― in the breath hits the cold mirror and c―――――――― into water d―――――――. The mirror “steams up”. After a while the liquid droplets on the mirror e―――――――― into the air as water vapour, and the mirror clears. ( droplets, vapour, evaporate, condenses)
8
LOOKING AT THE DEW ON THE GRASS What has happened? What has happened? Why has it happened? Why has it happened? What is it called? What is it called?
9
The dew on the grass Water v――――― in the a―― hits a cold Water v――――― in the a―― hits a cold surface and c―――――――― into water d―――――――. ( condenses, air, vapour, cold, droplets)
10
LOOKING AT THE FROST ON THE TREE What has happened? What has happened? Why has it happened? Why has it happened? What is it called? What is it called?
