Information Staff iPad training:  June 19 & 20  8:30 - 11:30 a.m. + 4 hours  10 PDPs*  $25/hour  Work with colleagues  Locate/try new apps  Learn/share iPad basics  Will be added to DedhamPD Student iPad training:  August 23  Morning sessions  Seeking assistance from DHS staff  Train-the-trainer session on August 21 (morning) *You must attend both morning sessions to be paid for the 4 additional hours/10 pdps

Today’s Agenda IT tasks: Enroll the device Set the MDM profile Settings:  Set a passcode  Complete the self-service installs  Access iCloud  Activate iCloud backup Download, delete, and close an app IPad operation:  Identify iPad parts  Keyboard basics  Spotlight search/Home screens  Wi-Fi access  Search for Apps

4. Enroll the Device 1. Tap on Safari 2. Access the following URL: https://casper.dedham.k12. ma.us:8443/enroll 3. Tap the word “Required” and login using your DPS network username and password 4. Choose Login

5. Set the MDM Profile (Module Device Management) 1. At the OTA Enrollment dialog box, tap Install Profile 2. Tap Install at the Install Profile 3. Tap Install Now 4. Tap Install 5. At the Profile Installed dialog box tap Done 6. Close the window at the message Enrollment Complete!

6. Settings: Set a Passcode 1. At the Passcode Requirement box, tap Continue 2. Provide a new Passcode consisting of at least six characters 3. Reenter the new passcode and tap Save

7. Settings: Access iCloud 1. Tap the Settings app on your Home screen, and then in the list on the left tap iCloud 2. Login to iCloud using your Apple ID (email address) and Password, and then tap Sign In. 3. At the iCloud Terms window scroll to the bottom of the iCloud Terms & Conditions, and then tap Agree

8. Access iCloud (cont.) 4. At Terms of Service, tap Agree 5. At the Allow iCloud to Use the Loction of Your iPad box, tap Don’t Allow 6. At the Find My IPad box, choose Allow

9. Settings: Activate iCloud Backup iCloud provides 5 free gigabytes of storage. If the indicator, under Settings > iCloud> iCloud Backup, does not reflect “On” complete steps below: 1. Under Settings, iCloud, check the status of iCould Backup. If it indicates Off, tap the Off button and continue with the following steps to turn it on 2. At Start iCloud Backup, tap OK 3. The iCloud Backup indicator will now reflect ON

10. Download, Delete, and Close an App 1. Locate an app to download and then tap the FREE button 2. Tap the INSTALL APP button 3. An indicator will appear when the app is Loading 4. To delete an app: Press and hold the app Tap the “X” Press the Home button—stop jiggle Note: Stock apps cannot be deleted 5. To continue to delete an app, tap Delete at the confirmation box 6. To close an app on the dock: Double tap the Home button Tap and hold an app Tap red “-” to close the app To stop the jiggle – tap the Home button
