Friday - The Flow 1] Give people food & Drinks when they arrive. Allow time for eating & networking. 2) Start Directly with Half-baked, the game. Don’t spend time explaining it, just do it. This is J.I.T. moderation. HAVE FUN! 3) Go over Presentation (below). If you have speakers, have them go before pitches. remember to use a timer! 4) Allow for a break both before and 1/2 through the pitches to keep the energy high. 5) The most important thing is team formation. DO NOT RUSH VOTING.
4
How to Run Half-Baked 1] Pre-Seed A whiteBoard with 50+ startup related words & put up #’s around the room 1 - 12* Where groups can later assemble 3] Have people break into their Groups by number and meet their team members. Each Team assigns (1) person to be “lead” 2) Assign people numbers randomly 1-13* (adjust to have ~7 people per team) 4) Give team “leads” count of 3 to run up and circle (2) words & put their team # by the words 5) Teams have ~10 minutes to come up with a biz Model & elevator pitch. Encourage them to be funny, make logos, etc. Core: What & who’s problem are you solving, Solution, revenue model 6) Each team is given 15-20 seconds to give their pitch. Run the microphone around the room randomly & use an ipad/timer.
