CHILD NEGLECT NEGLECTED JUVENILE: A child who does not receive proper care, supervision, or discipline from his parents, guardian, custodian, or caretaker. Neglected if he is not provided necessary medical or remedial care, or abandoned, or lives in an environment that is injurious to his welfare, or is placed illegally for care or adoption.
