The Giant Panda is an endangered species and highly threatened. 27 Country 1000 In the wild ( Ailuropoda melanoleuca, "black- and-white cat-foot“ ) The panda has a diet which is 99% bamboo.

A p p e a r a n c e s The Giant Panda has a black-and-white coat. Adults measure around 1.5 m long and around 75 cm tall, at the shoulder. Males- 115 kg (253 pounds) Females 100 kg (220 pounds) A Giant Panda cub, whose weight is approximately 150 grams.

B e h a v i o u r In the wild, pandas are terrestrial animals. climb and take shelter in hollow trees or rock crevices but do not establish permanent dens. As such pandas do not hibernate.
