3. Welcome to 9 th CP English! Do Now:  Choose a seat.  Please write your name on ONE of the pieces of cardstock on your desk.  Leave the piece of toilet paper on your desk.

4. About Me  Originally from Pittsburgh, PA.  Graduated from Dickinson College.  Studied abroad in Brisbane, Australia.  Taught all ages, from preschool to college level.  Activities at AHS:  Director of Fall Play  Travel Club Advisor  Paintball Club Advisor

5. Now, Tell Me About Yourself!  Based on how many squares of toilet paper you have on your desk (1,2,3), tell me a fact about yourself. It can be sports you enjoy, number of siblings, favorite type of monkey, etc.

10. Homework  You will have homework every week  Due at the beginning of class  Late or poorly completed work receives a point deduction.  Your printer is not my problem.  Assignments turned in a week or later will NOT be accepted.  Keep track using your agenda and my webpage.

11. Absences  You are responsible for making up work.  First stop: Folders  Second stop: Classmates  Third Stop: Webpage  Fourth Stop: Ms. J  Excused: Due the day after your return.  Unexcused: No make-ups!

12. Cell Phones  Green side = Okay to use  Red side = No phones  Phones cannot be used during lectures, presentations, quizzes, or tests.  If it’s charging, let it be! Consequences: Confiscate phone, contact home, referral

13. Bathroom Breaks: - Only ask during transitions and after directions are given - You get two bathroom breaks a week during my class - Your agenda is your pass
