4. Add one bale of wood shavings

6. Add burnished, bisqued pottery

7. Add 3 pounds of Kosher salt

8. Add 1 pound of copper sulfate

9. Gently lay small kindling over pots

11. Gently lay split logs over the kindling to fill the kiln

12. Add crumpled newspaper and more kindling

13. Add dried Christmas wreaths

15. Carefully light wreaths and cover half of the kiln with sheet metal

19. Cover the remaining half of the kiln with sheet metal

21. The kiln takes approximately 24 hours to fire
